Williams Lumber newest location: Hyde Park, NY
Williams Lumber celebrated the Grand Opening of their new location in Hyde Park, NY on Saturday, January 17th. The Grand Opening featured specials and drawings during the 3 day event, with a ribbon cutting ceremony hosted by Kim Williams and sister Kelly representing Williams Lumber’s 3rd generation alongside 4th generation family members Nicole and Joseph. Saturday’s grand opening festivities attracted hundreds of customers. Members and officials of the Greater Southern Dutchess, Hyde Park and Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce were on hand for the event, which included the traditional ribbon cutting, free cake and popcorn and many other events.
The new store is located in the former Champion outlet at 4246 Albany Post Road in Hyde Park. The new full-service home and garden center will serve the local community seven days a week with their outstanding brand of service and high-quality hardware and home improvement products. In addition, the store offers several services including color paint matching, glass-cutting, key cutting, lock re-keying, screen repair and more.
Williams is celebrating its 63rd year in business in the Hudson Valley. Williams Lumber & Home Centers employs over 260 associates and serves contractors and homeowners in the counties of Ulster, Dutchess, Greene and Columbia. In addition to the associates, Williams Lumber is operated by three Williams family members: Sandy, President; Kim, Vice President Retail Operations; and Kelly, Vice President Contractor Sales.

Williams Lumber in Rhinebeck with NASCAR

NASCAR #19 was on display in the Williams Lumber Rhinebeck parking lot along side a cardboard standee of racecar driver Elliot Sadler. The Stanley/Bostich SWAT team was on hand to offer special pricing, instant rebates, hot new product demos and to accept trade-ins.
Customers who stopped by during the event to see the Stanley racecar, were given a chance to win a Richard Petty Driving Experience. As the industry leader in motorsports entertainment, Richard Petty Driving Experience offers race fans the opportunity to drive and ride-along in NASCAR-style stock cars at over 20 tracks nationwide. The winner was able to choose from an 8 to 80 lap driving experience or a 3-lap ride-along. The Promotion included the Richard Petty Driving Experience Ride-Along Gift Card ($109 value to be used at any RPDE facility excluding Daytona, Talladega and Indianapolis)
In addition, attendees were given the opportunity to win a race hospitality package for 2 to the New Hampshire International Speedway in Loudon to be held on September 18, 2008.
